30-Minute Gym support
Email support@kowbell.app and we'll reply within two business days.
The quickest way is from the app: tap the version number at the top right of Routines, then Email support. Your app and iOS versions are filled in for you.
Where are my workouts stored?
Only on your iPhone. There's no account and no cloud sync, so nobody else can see them. Deleting the app deletes its data, so back up regularly.
How do I back up my workouts?
Open History, tap the ••• menu at the top right, and choose Back up all app data. Save the file somewhere off your phone, such as iCloud Drive, or email it to yourself.
I got a new iPhone. How do I move my workouts?
- On your old iPhone, make a backup as described above.
- Install 30-Minute Gym on your new iPhone.
- Open History, tap the ••• menu, choose Restore from backup and pick the file.
Restoring replaces any workouts already on the new iPhone. If you set up your new iPhone from a backup of the old one, your workouts usually come along too, but a 30-Minute Gym backup is the sure way.
Can I see my workouts in a spreadsheet?
Yes. In History, tap the ••• menu and choose Export spreadsheet (CSV). It opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets. The spreadsheet is for viewing; to restore workouts you need the backup file.
What weight should I enter?
Weights are in pounds. For dumbbells, enter the weight of one dumbbell. For assisted pull-ups, enter the assistance setting; less assistance means more progress.
Can I swap an exercise?
Yes. Every exercise has at least one alternative: turn on Use alternative on its card. Each movement keeps its own weights. To switch after you've logged sets, clear that exercise's reps and uncheck its sets first.
What counts as a new best?
A new best is your heaviest weight on a completed set of a movement, compared with every earlier workout. Your first session of a movement sets the starting point. Assisted, bodyweight, timed and cardio exercises aren't included.
What is the weekly goal?
It's how many workouts you aim for each week, 4 by default. Change it from the ••• menu in History. Your streak counts the weeks in a row you met it, and the current week never breaks it while it's still in progress.
Safety
30-Minute Gym provides general exercise information, not medical advice. Check with your doctor before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant. Stop right away if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual shortness of breath. Gym machines vary, so follow each machine's instructions and ask gym staff if you're unsure. You can read the full safety notice in the app under Routines, Before you start.
